This chart proves M. Night Shyamalan movies have been getting worse and worse

This last weekend saw the opening of M Night Shyamalan’s new movie After Earth, starring Will Smith. It made $27m. Which isn’t bad. But it was expected to make $40m and it cost $130m to make.

The reviews are stinkers. But then, as this chart shows, Shyamalan’s films have been getting steadily worse for some time.

Strangely, this fact has not affected their box office takings, as this table below shows.
