Things are actually getting better. Here is some proof

Like a lot of others, I will admit I do suffer from a pessimism bias.

However, broadly speaking things are getting much better. Here is an example.

In the mid 1990s, the number of school-age children who were not in school was 110 million.

The latest data suggests that figure is now 60 million.
