Did the US knock out North Korea’s internet last night? Clue: yes

“We will respond proportionately, and in a space, time and manner that we choose,” Obama said yesterday of the North Korean internet attacks on Sony. Inevitably, many observers are speculating that the US is behind the attacks last night that closed down North Korea’s internet access, as the North Korea tech blog reported this morning. At time of writing North Korea’s internet is back up. But perhaps they got the message.

Update: Sony is to show The Interview at some cinemas in the US on Christmas Day.
