Despite Android’s dominance, it’s losing developer support

According to research at mobile analytics firm Flurry and Business Insider, developer support for Android has been waning, despite its incredible growth.

The reason? Apple.

Flurry tracks the activity of 45,000 developers who have built 90,000 applications. As you can see from the chart designed by Furthr’s Richard Scott, developers started fewer Android projects in the second quarter of this year than the first.

Flurry speculates the change was driven by the popularity in the US of the Verizon iphone and the ipad 2.

Apple 2, Google 0?  It certainly looks that way.
