2016 has been a rough year for Apple.

The company has faced criticism for perceived slowing innovation and that it is starting to commit the sin that git it into hot water before Steve Jobs took over: too many products.

Added to that, in 2016,  it lost the war of Voice.

Despite having Siri in the market for years, Amazon have swept in with Alexa and seen it installed in 1.75m households.

Added to that the AppleWatch has done OK, but not great, so Apple spent this year without a killer product that everyone is talking about.

Worse still, Samsung is now within striking distance of Apple’s iPhone.
