New York City thinks payphones will exist in the future and this is what they could look like

New York City is on a mission to build a better payphone for the digital age.

A few months ago, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg launched a design challenge with the Reinvent Payphones initiative. The goal: crowdsource ways to revitalize and upgrade the city’s 11,000 payphones.

Just last night, the city announced the six winning prototypes.

There’s a secret internet for drug dealers, assassins and international criminals

The average person is only aware of a fraction of the internet. There is more content out there than any conventional browser can access. These sites are termed “Deep Web” or “Undernet.” They exist outside the scope of GoogleFacebook, and your RSS reader. It’s the digital equivalent of a thriving city that’s been domed over and cordoned off.

This chart shows the incredible destruction of Apple

Apple‘s stock fell to another new low point of its current crash, closing at $420.15. It’s an incredible decline for the stock which was at $700 in September.

Why? Investors are worried about the rise of Android, Apple’s margins collapsing, the lack of a mega product in the works, and the post-Steve Jobs era.

Investing genius Jeff Gundlach says the crash in Apple is proof that markets aren’t efficient, rather the result of herd mentality and idiosyncratic behaviors.

Apple’s market cap is now below Exxon, and it is no longer the most valuable company in the world.
