As you can see, US Corporations are taking a much bigger slice of total income  than they ever have before.

The bad news is they are showing little inclination either to redistribute that slice back to investors or to invest it in new equipment, software, etc..

Instead, companies like Apple are accumulating piles of cash, says Paul Krugman.
