America is changing. Growing inequality has eliminated the connection between economic growth and middle-class incomes, as this chart shows.

Clearly there is no evidence for the Republican’s continued assertion that tax cuts for the rich stimulate growth which in turn trickles down to the rest of us.

As this chart shows, it doesn’t.
