Who we are

Andy Pemberton

Furthr’s director, Andy Pemberton, is a content expert with international experience. He edited Q magazine in London, launched Blender magazine in New York, which won Ad Age’s Launch of The Year, and also edited Spin magazine. He has written for the New York Times, GQ, Esquire, The Sunday Times, The National (Dubai), and the world’s largest newspaper, The Times of India. He writes columns for Yahoo.com, and the Huffington Post in the US, and trains social media, data visualization and content strategy. He has worked as a content consultant for the RNLI, Time Out, BT, and more. He is also a leading data visualization expert, and includes the United Nations, the World Food Programme, and Aviva among his clients. He is a judge at this year’s British Media Awards.

Andy Cowles

Andy Cowles is a highly accomplished Creative Director, with an exceptional track record. He’s been successful at creating and reinventing powerful identities for media brands in the UK, America and Australia and is fluent at producing and presenting highly compelling content across all platforms, in every market, for just about every audience. He has stewarded 12 successful new launches, in both print and digital, for multiple publishers. He worked for nine years as Editorial and Creative Director for IPC Media, the UK’s biggest consumer publisher, was art Director of Rolling Stone and Creative Director of Mademoiselle in New York. He is the originator of highly effective editorial training programmes and winner of the prestigious British Society Of Magazine Editors Mark Boxer Award.

Peter Allen

Peter has over two decades of experience delivering work to the very highest level of design standards. He was art director at one of the world’s biggest, multi-platform publishing projects: the glossy lifestyle publication for Volvo owners LIV. With a global circulation of 1.5m it is published in 21 languages and 50 countries. Peter also commissioned and art directed films for the LIV website. As well as an expert on the automotive industry, Peter is at the cutting edge of data visualisation. At Furthr he is lead designer for clients Aviva, Cisco and the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

Kevin Hassall

Kevin has led the delivery of highly creative digital work for nearly 20 years. He has worked across web, mobile and games, with organisations as diverse as Barclays, the British Red Cross, the Professional Darts Corporation and Novartis. At Furthr, Kevin leads our digital development and implementation, working with clients including Aviva and the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

Dinonne McCulloch

Furthr’s international director of operations has worked in award-winning organisations in the US, South Africa and the UK, including the Discovery Channel, Friends of the Earth and the White House, where she worked on The Clinton Health Care reforms and as a researcher for President Bill Clinton.

Tim Tucker

Tim is a  data scientist and user experience specialist. He is a regular consultant for the Content Marketing Association, the Nationwide Building Society, The National Trust, Barclaycard, Nokia and the UK Government’s Cabinet Office. He also provides training and consultancy in content strategy to the UK’s leading media organisations, including Harper Collins, Hachette UK, Publishing Scotland, The Telegraph Media Group and BBC Magazines.
